LWA CEO Joins First Diaspora Africa Investment Summit

The LWA (Leading Women of Africa) has partnered with the First Diaspora Africa Investment Summit. LWA is one of the continent’s premier networks for enterprising women professionals and business owners, with members active in various industries, including energy, construction, and mining.

Madelein Mkunu, the CEO of LWA, leads the organization in collaboration with Corporate Africa to develop a sustainable framework for hosting all chapters of the Diaspora Africa Investment Summit. According to Angelina Nalobo, Director of Corporate Africa, a significant number of diasporan professionals and business owners returning to the continent are women. Members of LWA are dedicated to providing measurable and tangible value to the event and its participants, particularly those seeking relocation and business guidance throughout the continent.

The LWA brand will align with the Diaspora Africa Investment Summit, serving as a business partner and communication channel to promote the event via its pan-African network. They will contribute to the programs of the Diaspora Africa Summit, which will feature plenary sessions, workshops, and panel discussions. LWA’s members will share their insights and women empowerment initiatives with delegates, especially regarding executive leadership, development, and enterprise. They will inform women in the diaspora about the abundant opportunities present in African industries and the potential pathways to engage with, access, and capitalize on them.

LWA will also share its experiences of collaboration between men and women in enterprise to advance and develop business programs, projects, and communities across Africa. Corporate Africa and LWA will cultivate a mutually beneficial relationship, with both parties pledging their human resources to ensure the event’s success and sustainability.
